Small Grants Program – Call for Proposals

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo Office (YIHR) is pleased to announce the third round of call for project proposals within the Small Grants Program, aimed at promoting the growth and development of civil society in Kosovo, as well as advancing ethnic understanding and tolerance among youth in the region. The funding for the YIHR’s Small Grants Program is provided by National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

In order to strengthen the capacities of youth activism, the YIHR will award grants to those youth organizations that demonstrate the capacity to identify local community problems and also demonstrate the ability to undertake concrete steps in resolving these problems.

Priority will be given to projects that involve activities related to encouraging, improving and creating opportunities to establish new links and dialogue between young people from different communities in Kosovo and region, projects that demonstrate cooperation of youth from different ethnic communities in resolving local and national problems, and projects that strengthen and facilitate youth participation in decision making processes, public life and human rights campaigns.

Application Procedure

All project proposals should include:

1.) A description of the organization and an indication of competence in the area of this proposal.

2.) An outline of the project, including:

a. Direct beneficiaries.

b. Activities of the project.

c. Outcomes expected.

3.) A brief (2 or 3 lines) overview of your budget, income sources and expenses for this project.

Eligibility

The YIHR will award grants to legally registered nongovernmental organizations in line with the applicable law. The eligibility and grant allocation are determined by the YIHR Grant Review Committee.

Grant Information

The YIHR will provide a limited number of Small Grants for grant periods that may be up to three months in duration, in the maximum amount of 5,000 USD.
