Leader’s cooperation with organs of justice

Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo, expresses its concern regarding the non cooperation of Mr. Blerim Kuçi with the EULEX mission as a witness of war crimes.

The act of Mr. Blerim Kuçi, who holds the post of Mayor of Theranda (Suhareka) and Organizational Secretary at the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, except that does not contribute to finding the truth and establishing justice, as the act of a leader gives the example of non cooperation to other witnesses.

Refusal to testify the truth promotes and strengthens the culture of impunity and impedes the process of establishing justice for victims of war crimes. Therefore we ask Mr. Blerim Kuçi and all our leaders to give their contribution and commitment to enlightening of the truth, promoting of justice and fulfilment of the right to truth and justice for all victims.
