Travel to Europe 2013 // Call for applications

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo (YIHR KS) continues its journey to Europe. After the success of the project during the last six years where 101 youth were given the opportunity to travel through different European countries, the YIHR KS organizes the “Travel to Europe” project once again.

This year, the YIHR KS will provide the same opportunity to 15 of the best students from universities in Kosovo. The chosen candidates will get Schengen Visas (for 30 days), Inter-rail tickets, ISIC student cards, as well as the opportunity to travel around Europe at the routes of their own choices.

The basic criteria for selection are:

a) Candidates must be final year students and up to 26 years old (each candidate must submit an original document from the faculty where s/he is studying, proving that s/he is a final year student)

b) The average grade must be at least that which is required by the faculty for awarding scholarships (each candidate must submit a transcript showing completed exams which specifies grades that have been awarded/average grade. This must be an official and recent transcript which the candidate should obtain from their faculty)

c) Knowledge of foreign languages: English, German, French and/or Italian.

Priority will be given to those candidates who have never traveled abroad.

A complete application should contain:

1. Completed application form
2. Original document from the faculty proving the candidate is a final year student
3. Original transcript from the faculty, which specifies average grade
4. Student’s own transcript
5. Passport

The deadline for submitting the applications: June 21, 2013 (17:00h).

Only completed applications will be taken into consideration. Applications sent after the deadline or with false information will not be considered. The validity and authenticity of the documents will be verified.
