Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo, as part of the project “Youth participation for inclusive education and human rights”, as a part of Engagement for Equity Program (E4E), financed by the United States Agency for International Development – USAID and supported by Advocacy Training and Recourse Center – ATRC, today held a meeting with the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Ms. Anila Statovci and Mr. Arbër Salihu, officer for curriculum, part of this Ministry.
In this meeting, it was discussed about the possibility of cooperation between YIHR and MASHT during the process of the school curriculum revision in pre-university levels. YIHR has shared its project on curriculum revision with the officer from the Ministry, and expressed willingness to contribute to this process.
Ms. Statovci, deputy minister of MASHT expressed the disposition of the Ministry to cooperate on this matter. She also stated that the Ministry is in the process of starting the curriculum revision and the amendment of the Law on Publishing School Textbooks. She agreed that YIHR be part of the commission in this process.
Both parties have agreed to continue communicating, and strengthen their cooperation in order to achieve results that enable youth involvement in decision-making processes and in the system of education.
