Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo met with Political- Legal Advisor of the Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MEST), Mr. Faton Fetahu.

YIHR informed Mr. Fetahu of activities within the project “Youth for Justice”, activities that will take place in high schools in different regions in Kosovo. In these lectures youngsters will learn more about the justice system in Kosovo, their rights to access to this system and responsibility that the justice system has towards the public.

Knowing that to proceed with the implementation of the project the support from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is crucial, on behalf of Minister Bajrami, Mr. Fetahu agreed that MEST will support and allow YIHR KS to conduct the lectures in high schools of Kosova. Also, in the meeting, both sides agreed that the Memorandum of Understanding will be finalized and signed during next week.

YIHR KS is implementing the project “Youth for Justice” through “Demand for Justice”, implemented by the National Center for State Courts and supported by the Department of State, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement. This program aims to strengthen the development of the demand for justice in Kosovo.
