Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) and activists of My Initiative have marked the 27th of April, Missing Person’s day in Kosovo. Activities began with the deployment of a large number of white cubes covered with the question “Where are 1862 Missing Persons?” which have stood at the Mother Theresa Square in Pristina for several hours.

On the evening activities continued at the National Museum of Kosova with the commemorative event organized by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights and Municipal Assembly of Pristina.

The evening began with the singing of Eliza Hoxha “For those who are missing” which was displayed after the screening of the documentary “Gjakova 726” from directors Blerta Bashollo and Artan Korenica, whilst the evening was concluded with the performance by music band Jericho with their song dedicated to missing persons.

Initiative has also asked the relevant authorities to engage more strongly in solving the fate of missing persons in Kosovo in order to establish justice and punishment for those responsible of these crimes.
