We’re looking for a research assistant with strong analytical skills in one or more of the following fields: psychology, academic writing, literature, law, or other social sciences. This position is part of our initiative which aims to review Kosovo school textbooks for discriminatory and exclusive language.
The purpose of this analysis is to determine how well high school textbooks align with human rights principles and to what extent the teaching and learning processes reflect these principles.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of high school textbooks for discriminatory and exclusive language.
- Coordinate with the main researcher to develop criteria for evaluating textbooks based on human rights principles.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Desk research
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Student of a relevant field such as Law, Social Sciences, International Relations, or similar.
- Proven experience in qualitative research methodologies.
- Familiarity with human rights frameworks and Kosovo’s social context is desirable.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Albanian (knowledge of Serbian would be an asset.
