Job Overview:
YIHR KS is seeking a passionate and dedicated Projects Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Projects Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing YIHR KS’s human rights and rule of law agenda by designing and implementing projects that promote accountability, youth engagement, and democratic values in Kosovo. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to the values YIHR KS upholds.
This role is ideal for someone motivated to work in the field of human rights and rule of law, with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment to social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects related to human rights monitoring, rule of law, transitional justice, or accountability mechanisms.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects that address human rights violations, rule of law challenges, and youth participation, ensuring alignment with YIHR KS’s strategic mission.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively and transparently.
- Track the progress of projects, conduct regular evaluations, and prepare comprehensive reports on project outcomes.
- Support human rights–based monitoring, documentation, and reporting activities.
- Support cooperation with civil society, institutions, and international partners working in the field of rule of law.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, project documentation, and communication materials to various audiences.
- Prepare work plans and conduct research as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, International Relations, Human Rights, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
- Minimum one year of experience in project coordination, preferably in the NGO sector.
- Strong understanding of human rights standards, rule of law principles, and Kosovo’s institutional and legal context.
- Experience working with donors or international organizations is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Albanian and/or Serbian, and English.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
