HRW 11 – “Understanding Human Rights Violations: Past and Present” Panel Discussion

As part of Human Rights Week, the panel “Understanding Human Rights Violations: Past and Present” brought together youth and experts to reflect on the impact of historical injustices on inter-ethnic relations and the importance of addressing them today.

Moderated by Adelina Hasani (KCSS), the discussion featured insights from Donika Emini (Executive Director, CIVIKOS), Dušan Radaković (ACDC), Amer Alija (Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo), and activists Agnesa Bytyci and Anjdelija Vucinic. Panelists emphasized the need for honest dialogue about the past, grassroots activism, and systemic change to prevent future violations.

Audience engagement highlighted the importance of youth participation in fostering justice and reconciliation. The event concluded with a call to action for education, empathy, and active efforts to build inclusive communities.
