We marked the International Day of Remembrance for the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide

For the International Day of Remembrance for the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, we lit candles together with citizens and activists to stand in solidarity with the victims and survivors of the genocide.

Through this street action on the occasion of the 29th anniversary, we remembered all victims of the Srebrenica genocide and showed solidarity with all the survivors of this human rights atrocity.

It is important to note that this year, the UN General Assembly has reached the resolution to annually commemorate the tragedy as a genocide after a long-awaited appeal for this recognition. This recognition further inspires our efforts and the work of organizations dedicated to reconciliation. Remembering and acknowledging such atrocities is crucial for fostering reconciliation, promoting peace, and preventing future genocides.
